1. Grab a blank piece a paper and start making a list of everything you do this week.

A simple time audit is a great way to help you determine where you are spending your time during an average week.

You may be surprised to see a difference between where you spend your time and where you think you spend your time.

The purpose of this exercise is just to get everything down on paper. You wil have time to

2. Assign each of your tasks to the Eisenhower Matrix.

The Eisenhower Matrix is made up of 4 parts.

  1. Important and Urgent: Do these tasks now.

  2. Important and Not Urgent: Schedule these tasks.

  3. Not Important and Urgent: Delegate or Automate these tasks.

  4. Not Important and Not Urgent: Delete these tasks.

3. Schedule a weekly recurring block of time (90-180 minutes) where you can focus on taking action based on the results of your Eisenhower Matrix and Time Audit.

You will not be able to tackle every item on your list right away. So give yourself grace and time to work through this exercise.

Here is your goal with your weekly 90-180 minute block:

Get through 1 items in each category.

You will get 1 important and urgent task done, schedule 1 important but not urgent task for later, delegate or automate 1 task and delete 1 task. Keep this up until you work through your entire list.
