If you could wave a magic wand and solve or improve one thing in your business, what would it be?

According to the Cline Diving Industry Survey for Q4 2022, the industry is mostly flat.

Being in an industry with relatively low to no growth has its challenges. This means that you, as a store owner, need to do a better job of capturing the students that reach out to you and then keeping those divers involved with your store and the sport. Because the pie is not getting any bigger, you need to capture more of the pie in your area.

There are 2 general strategies for growth in a scenario like this:

  1. Better marketing to attract and capture more new customers. Get more students to choose to dive with you.

  2. Retain more customers and keep them coming back for more classes, equipment and travel.
